iPhone 8 Review and Price – Is It Worth Buying?
iPhone 8 is one of the best phone Apple has ever manufactured. But, unfortunately, it is dethroned when the iPhone SE was released in April 2020. You might have landed on this page to check the current specification of the iPhone 8 and, is it worth buying and why is it replaced by iPhone SE?
We will take a look at them right here.

Now, let go into iPhone 8 specification and we’re starting from the camera!
iPhone 8 Specification 2020
The 8th iteration of the iPhone is quite a formidable force to contend with – Camera-wise, with devices of its price range and even some of today’s mid-range smartphones.
It’s a 12MP secondary sensor with some good features; HDR, Paranoma, good color reproduction, and good night shots. The front is a 7MP shooter for taking great selfies and also for facial recognition.
It allows HDR and shoots 1080p videos at 30fps (frames per second). The main camera shoots 2160p videos at 24/30/60 FPS, there’s also a 1080p (HD) mode that lets you shoot videos at 30/60/120/240 FPS.
Certainly a pretty good display with good color reproduction, nicely saturated to give you a more vivid representation of items. It’s not much of a bright display, you might have difficulty navigating this device outdoors.
At the front, we are greeted by the 4.7-inch retina IPS LCD panel with a resolution of 750 x 1334 pixels and a 16:9 aspect ratio.
An LED panel would have been much better, but adding such will invariably affect other specs, the LCD is less power consuming considering the battery of this device.
You’re always kept in awe when you stumble upon any Apple device, sleek, nice edges, and good color choices giving it that premium look and feel. The iPhone 8 is nicely crafted and remains one of the best designs on an iPhone.
It’s an all-glass unibody design with an aluminum build which could be very slippery, but a nice looking pouch will suffice. We’ve got the Apple logo and camera at the back of this phone, in front is the 4.7-inch display with the Touch ID scanner just below it.
Below the device we have the USB port flanked by the stereo speakers which could get distorted when gaming. There’s no headphone jack on the iPhone 8, so get your Airpods ready.
For the primary storage, Apple has given the iPhone 8 2GB gigabytes of RAM space for running all your apps, games, and more.
The 2GB RAM is available for every variant of the iPhone 8 you purchased. So you could interchange between apps, games, media, and surfing as seamlessly as possible.
For secondary storage, you’ve got a lot of space to save all your files on the iPhone 8. It comes in two storage options.
The first is the 64GB variant – the least variant and the less expensive choice. If you’d be needing more space, you would have to pay more to get the second variant – the 256GB variant!
The battery of the iPhone 8 doesn’t inspire much confidence especially for heavy users unless you’d be using this phone for just calls – which is very unlikely.
The battery is a meager 1821 mAh non-removable Li-polymer cell with a 14 hours talk time on the 3G network.
You have a 15W fast charger that powers the device up to 50% in 30 minutes. The iPhone 8 is also compatible with Qi wireless charging 2.0.
Apple’s chipset seems to be a contending force in the smartphone world, the force continues with the A11 Bionic on the iPhone 8, with its Hexa-core (2x Monsoon + 4x Mistral) processor which delivers the best of seamless operation.
The OS is the iOS 11 which could be upgraded to the latest iOS 13.4, with this, you get to experience the latest features on a much older smartphone.
